One Hundred Years of Solitude

"The air was so damp that fish could have come in through doors and swum out the windows, floating through the atmosphere in the rooms."

I love this passage from One Hundred Years of Solitude. While I was studying illustration, I usually had to follow very specific instructions. One time, I was given the opportunity to choose any subject and technique I’d like, so I wanted to paint this scene from the book. It ended up being my favorite painting from college.
